Duilio Grassini, fotografo professionista, nasce a Roma nel 1964; dal 1998 è titolare dello studio Photo’s.
“Quella del fotografo è una professione che fa dell’occhio e della mente i primi strumenti creativi; questa, la caratteristica di Duilio Grassini: pathos, amore per il racconto, luce e colore”.

Quando osserviamo le immagini realizzate da Duilio ci sentiamo catapultati nella scena ritratta come spettatori silenti di un evento; il gusto particolare per l’inquadratura, la luce che sfalda come in un quadro i contorni o ne plasma i volumi ci trasporta in uno stato di sospensione, il nostro essere spettatori non ci impedisce di vivere all’interno dell’immagine.  (Paola Binante docente ISIA di Urbino)"

 

Studi ed Esperienze:

1983: Diplomato Maestro d'Arte in Grafica pubblicitaria e Fotografia presso l'Istituto D'Arte "Silvio D'Amico" di Roma".

1982-1984 : Laboratorio teatrale a Roma (recitazione, musica e scenografia);

1986-2000: Sottufficiale dell'Aviazione dell'Esercito a Viterbo con mansioni di fotografo militare.

1997-2001: Collaborazione come fotografo di book e docente di posa fotografica per modelle/i e aspiranti attori presso l'ISAP (Ist. Sup. Arti e Professioni di Padova - sede di Roma).

1998: Apertura dello studio fotografico PHOTO'S a Viterbo e successivamente creazione del circolo fotografico iscritto FIAF "Magazzino 120" e partecipazione attiva con il Circolo fotografico FIAF "Francesco Forno" di Civitavecchia (Rm).

2001: Seminario professionale Kodak "Portrait & Social".

2002: Seminario professionale Kodak "Wed & Wed" digitale e tradizionale.

2004: Docente al corso di fotografia naturalistica promosso dal DAF della facoltà di Scenze Forestali dell'Università della Tuscia di Viterbo.

2008: Seminario FIAF "Lettura e Valutazione dell'immagine" DAC (Dip. Attività Culturali Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotogarfiche).

 

Premi e Mostre:

2005:  Medaglia 9° trofeo di Fotografia 2005 - Circoli FIAF Lazio - Latina 9.10.2005.

2008: Mostra "L'abbandono" al Caffè "Revel" di Civitavecchia (Ass. Cult. "Spartaco") e successivamente al Roma al "Caffè Letterario Belzebook"; Mostra "Falsi d'Autore" presso la Rocca Medievale di Civitavecchia.

2010: Esposizione di un'opera fotografica di Duilio di cm 70x100 stampata su tela, tratta dal reportage di Shanghai dell'ottobre 2010, alla 54^ Biennale d'Arte Contemporanea di Venezia organizzata da Vittorio Sgarbi.

2011: Mostra fotografica "Ordinary China" tratto dal reportage a Shanghai a Terranuova Bracciolini (AR).

2013: Medaglia di Bronzo al concorso fotografico FIAF "Vittorio Bachelet" a Roma.

2017: Premio "Ziwa" al miglior fornitore di nozze.

2017: fotografo di matrimonio consigliato da "Matrimonio.com".

2019: Pubblicazione di un lavoro fotografico sulla rivista "TOPSCAPE PAYSAGE"

Duilio Grassini, professional photographer, was born in Rome; starting from 1998 he is founder of the studio Photo’s.
“That of the photographer is a profession that turns the eye and the mind into the first creative tools; this is the main characteristic of Duilio Grassini: pathos, love for the story, light and color”.

When we look at Duilio’s pictures we feel silent observers of the pictured scene; the unique taste for the framing, the light that flaps as in a picture the contours or shapes the volumes, transport us in a state of suspension and our being spectators does not prevent us from living inside the image. Background:
1983: Graduated Master of Arts in Advertising Graphics and Photography at the "Silvio D'Amico" Art Institute of Rome ".
1982-1984: Theater workshop in Rome (acting, music and set design);

1986-2000: Officer of the Army Air Force in Viterbo with duties as a military photographer.
1997-2001: Collaboration as a book photographer and photographic pose teacher for models and aspiring actors at ISAP (Institute of Arts and Professions of Padua - Rome).
1998: Opening of  PHOTO'S photographic studio in Viterbo and then the creation of the photographic club FIAF "Magazzino 120" and active participation with the FIAF "Francesco Forno" photographic club of Civitavecchia (Rm).

2001: Professional workshop Kodak "Portrait & Social".
2002: Professional workshop Kodak "Wed & Wed" digital and traditional.
2004: Lecturer of naturalistic photography  promoted by the DAF of the Faculty of Forest Sciences at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo.
2008: FIAF Seminar "Reading and Evaluation of the image" DAC (Cultural Activities Dept. Italian Federation of Photographic Associations).



Awards and Exhibitions:

2005:  Medal of attendance to 9th trophy of Photography 2005 - Circles FIAF Lazio - Latina 9.10.2005.

2008: Exhibition "L’abbandono" at the Cafè "Revel" of Civitavecchia (Cultural association "Spartaco") and later in Rome at the "Cafe Letterario Belzebook"; "Falsi d'Autore" exhibition at the Medieval Fortress of Civitavecchia.

2010: Exhibition of a original photographic piece by Duilio, cm 70x100 printed on canvas, taken from the Shanghai report from October 2010, at the 54th Venice Biennial of Contemporary Art organized by Vittorio Sgarbi.

2011: Photo exhibition "Ordinary China" taken from the reportage of Shanghai exhibited in Terranuova Bracciolini (AR).

2013: Bronze Medal in the FIAF "Vittorio Bachelet" photographic competition in Rome.
